Staying Creative Through COVID

July 21, 2020

Homemade Pink Window cling

The residents at The Commons have been getting crafty and making items that spruce up their rooms. We have made beautiful wreaths, picture frames, and recently we turned our windows into stained glass works of art. Coloring is not just for children, and studies say that it can be therapeutic for older adults.

Some scientists even compare coloring to mediating. The concentration coloring takes can reduce anxiety and agitation, works fine motor skills, and, most importantly, is fun! We can’t wait to show off our masterpieces and start working on our next project!
