🎉 Celebrating 150 Years! 🎉
We had an amazing time at our 150th birthday bash at The Commons at Brightmore of Wilmington! From grooving to Ray and Jeff’s music 🎶, enjoying delicious cake 🍰, to giving out 150 tote bags—the day was full of fun and memories.
Our residents loved diving into the history of The Building of the Commons and discovering that it was one of the very first communities—what a milestone! 💙

We had a blast for a great cause! 🎉
Last week, The Commons proudly hosted our Operation: Liberty 150 – Cake Kits for a Cause event! 🎂
We were excited to gather items for our birthday cake kits, which we prepared for the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina in Wilmington. Our kits included cake mix, frosting, and a soda that uniquely replaces the eggs and oil needed for the cake! We also added fun birthday items such as candles, banners, plates, and noisemakers to ensure a joyful celebration.
Residents, staff, and friends from the Home Office in Wilmington came together to assemble these special kits. We proudly donated over 50 cake kits and hope to spread the joy of birthdays! 💖
