At Brightmore, appreciation goes beyond words! 💙
This year, we used the incentive from our annual employee surveys to host a special Employee Appreciation Picnic for our incredible staff and their families at Haliburton Park. From balloon animals by Mr. Twister and sweet treats from Sunset Slush to games like corn hole, limbo and Yarts, the day was filled with laughter, fun, and meaningful connections.

⭐ Honoring Our Heroes at Brightmore of Wilmington ⭐
For Memorial Day, our Dining Services team recreated the symbolic “Missing Man” Table at the entrance of our dining room — a powerful tribute to the military members who gave their lives in service to our country.
Each element of the table holds deep meaning, reminding us of the sacrifices made for our freedoms and honoring the loved ones of our residents and families who have served, sacrificed, and continue to serve today. 🇺🇸
• Empty Chair — the seat that remains unclaimed.
• White Tablecloth — purity of their motives in answering the call to duty.
• Single Rose — families and loved ones keeping the faith.
• Yellow/Red Ribbon — determination to account for the missing.
• Slice of Lemon — the bitter fate of those captured or missing.
• Pinch of Salt — tears of family and comrades.
• Inverted Glass — their inability to join us in a toast.
• Lit Candle — hope for their return, in life or in memory.
• Bible/Book — strength found through faith.

Congratulations to May Heath, Sales and Marketing Director, for being selected as this quarter’s resident‑voted Catch a Star Award recipient. The Great American Road Trip: Tennessee Edition! 🚗✨
The Kempton’s Great American Road Trip rolled on with our second stop — Tennessee! We got comfy with everything the Volunteer State has to offer, soaking up its natural charm and iconic sights.
We kicked things off with a toe‑tapping country music workout class, followed by a travelogue that had everyone dreaming of wide‑open spaces. One of our amazing volunteers, Cowboy Chris, even tipped his hat and joined in on the fun! 🤠
Of course, we couldn’t leave Tennessee without a taste of its famous treats — we whipped up delicious Banana Pudding, then spent the afternoon enjoying our pudding along with Tennessee‑born favorites like Mountain Dew and Moon Pies. 🍌🥤🌙

With 30 years of nursing experience and two wonderful years as part of our community, Dani has truly become a favorite among residents, families, and staff. Her kindness, warmth, and deep knowledge make her someone everyone feels grateful to know.
