Representing the Flamingos!
It was Flamingo Friday last week at The Commons! We chose pink flamingos because they are strong, social, fun loving birds who know how to find the balance in life. The color pink represents love and understanding and is associated with giving and receiving care. Residents and staff wore pink, and in the afternoon, we sipped on lemonade with pink flamingo straws and beautiful pink cupcakes while listening to music in the hallways. It was a great way to spend a Friday afternoon as we are finding the balance with having fun and staying safe and socially distant.
