The North Carolina Aquarium’s Outreach Program made a stop at The Commons this week. The focus was a “Turtle Time” program. The educators lead us on a journey to examine the lives of turtles. A spring Carnival made a stop this week at The Commons! Residents played bottle toss, balloon darts and we even had a duck pond. We enjoyed corn dogs, cotton candy, fresh popcorn, and ice-cold sodas. Everyone relaxed and socialized while we visited with our friends and family.

Residents enjoyed stretching their legs and getting a little fresh air this afternoon. We hung our upcycled birdfeeders around The Commons at Brightmore. It will be very rewarding to see the birds come feast on the special treats we have made for them!

Residents at The Commons enjoyed making special treats for our fine feathered friends. We upcycled paper towel rolls with peanut butter and birdseed and attached twine to hang them with. Residents cannot wait to watch the birds eat what they made with their own hands. We encourage you to make some for your garden!

Recently, Residents and Staff got “All Shook Up” at The Commons!
