Residents Leading with Heart and Hands

Brightmore residents had a blast during Operation: Liberty 150 – Cake Kits for a Cause,
celebrating the 150th anniversary of Liberty Health, the parent organization of Liberty Senior
Living. Together, they assembled over 50 birthday cake kits for the Food Bank of Central and
Eastern North Carolina, complete with cake mix, frosting, soda, and fun birthday items. Each kit
helps bring a joyful celebration to a child in need.
Giving back is woven into life at Brightmore. When Hurricane Helene struck, residents collected
food, toiletries, and cleaning supplies for neighbors. For Heart Health Month, they donated
funds and created crafts to support the Eastern North Carolina branch of the American Heart
Association. A friendly end-of-summer floor competition provides back-to-school supplies for
local Title 1 schools, and donations to the Good Shepherd Center help house and feed those in
need.
At Brightmore, acts of generosity connect residents to their community and leave a lasting,
meaningful impact.
