A Matter of Survival: The Story of Frances
On Thursday, July 7th, 2016 the Kempton had a interesting guest speaker, author of A Matter of Survival: The Story of Frances, Arleen Mercorella. Mrs. Mercorella is also the daughter of the main character in the nonfiction book. She author wrote this book as a tribute to her mother’s life. Her mother faced many hardships such as being rejected by her parents and going into an orphanage at age 6. While at the Kempton, Mrs. Mercorella spoke a little about her book and resident were able to purchased a signed copy of the book to read. We plan on reading the book in our book club we have every Wednesday afternoons The Kempton Assisted Living at Brightmore of Wilmington.
