Staying Mentally Active During COVID
To gear up for the day, the Activities Directors at The Commons went door to door and passed out hot coffee and sausage biscuits from Hardee’s in honor of National Buttermilk Biscuit Day.
Later this afternoon, residents flexed their cognitive muscles by participating in the first Spelling Bee Competition – Hallway Edition. Spelling bees are widely popular for school age children, but they are growing in popularity for seniors to help keep their brain sharp as they age. Continuing to learn new things is the best mental exercise there is for the brain.
