Lucky Green Power Smoothie.
To get into the mood for St. Patrick’s Day, Chef Justin made the residents at The Commons a green power smoothie. Smoothies are a fantastic way to fit a wider variety of nutrients into our day. Leafy greens like kale and spinach are a great source of vitamin K and are linked to improved heart health, increased weight loss, and protection against disease. We wanted to share this yummy recipe so you can try it too!!
- 2 Cups Kale
- 2 Cups Spinach
- 1 Cup Strawberries, whole
- 1 Banana
- 1 Orange
- 1/2 Cup Pineapple, chopped
- 1 Apple
- 1/2 Cup European Yogurt,
- 1 Cup Juice, We use pineapple, mango, orange
- 1/2 Cup Water
- 1 Cup Any other fruit you would like to add!
