Find Your Family Roots with The Commons

On Wednesday, July 11, 2018, residents at The Commons of Brightmore started a three part program called “Finding our Family Roots”.   One of our residents was the speaker in part one.  Ann Cook explained how she started her own family exploration.   Mrs. Cook has gone back eight generations.  She brought along examples of different ways to document your family roots, showed us research material, and answered questions from our residents.  Her first tip was to start with what you know, and write it down.    We passed out family pedigree charts for our residents to work on and our next session will be researching online.   Our residents are so excited to document and explore their family roots!
