Communication with Loved Ones is Alive at Brightmore

It’s very difficult when all of a sudden face-to-face communication with your family members and friends is cut off. During this time, we have been very aware of how this affects each person differently, and at Brightmore we have offered many different avenues for our residents to communicate with their loved ones. We have helped them with many different forms of technology through FaceTime, video chats, and Zoom parties.

About 4 weeks ago, our Wellness Director, Madeline Woodard, also created a general email account so that family and friends could communicate with our residents with a quick note of encouragement to their loved ones and it has “soared” with beautiful sentiments since we began. Once an email is sent to the general mailbox, we print it out, put the room number on it, and our faithful transportation driver, Fred, who wears many hats at this time, delivers them to each door.

It’s amazing just how nice it makes one feel to get a small note or long letter to make your day! If you have a family member who lives at Brightmore, feel free to send one too at Brightmoreresidentsofw@Gmail.com.
