Celebrating Wear Purple for Peace Day

Out of many World Peace Days, “Wear Purple for Peace” is normally held on May 16th. Since that fell on the weekend, we decided to celebrate with Brightmore residents this past Friday. We asked everyone to Wear Purple for Peace, and we delivered door-to-door a special PURPLE dessert!

During this time, it is especially important to remember the true definition of PEACE: freedom from disturbance; tranquility; a state or period in which there is no war or war has ended; and harmony in personal relationships. What an appropriate time to celebrate a day that promotes calmness and goodwill towards others. Happy Wear Purple for Peace Day!
