National Assisted Living Week is September 12-18 and to celebrate, residents are taking a cruise around the Hawaiian Islands! On Tuesday we had a Captain’s Lunch where our residents received individual invitations to dine with our very own Captain Justin. Haystacks are a sweet southern comfort food consisting of peanuts, butterscotch, and choy mein noodles. At The Kempton, our baking club had an excellent time making these delicious treats and eating them on Friday! Awesome work ladies!

Crafting is always a big hit at the Kempton and last week’s craft was seashell wreaths for the summer. The residents hand-picked each seashell and loved hanging the wreaths on their door and admiring others!

The Kempton had a great chicken sandwich fundraiser on Friday. They raised $333 to donate to Alzheimer’s! Residents, families, and employees enjoyed a delicious lunch. The money went to this fabulous cause.
