The residents of Brightmore love to celebrate! Some may ask, why do we celebrate this 5th day of May?

Cinco de Mayo celebrates the date of the Mexican army’s victory over France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War on May 5, 1862.

Known In Texas specifically, Cinco de Mayo remains an integral part of the state’s culture. Today we celebrated “Cinco de Mayo” with an outside social with festive music, chips, salsa, margarita punch and sangria!
