Ageless Grace Program|| The Commons

Ageless Grace ProgramResidents at The Commons love their Ageless Grace programs because it feels more like playing rather than exercising. Our Activities Director, Tanya Langley, is our certified Ageless Grace instructor and loves to have classes that are full of great music, smiles and laughter.

Ageless Grace is a fitness and wellness program consisting of 21 Simple Tools for Lifelong Comfort and Ease.. The 21 tools of Ageless Grace reopen neuropathways and create new ones by practicing functional movements. They utilize the five areas of the brain; analytical, strategic, kinesthesis, learning, memory/recall, and creativity/imagination.
Today we focused on 3 of our favorite tools.

  1. Juicy Joints– this helps residents’ joints be more succulent and also contributes to relieving arthritis and pain.
  2. Balancing– this supports residents as they work on their core and balance, both helping with fall prevention.
  3. Body Math– this gets residents working on muscle coordination, agility and increases their ability to respond, react and recover.
