The residents of the Brightmore Campus, family and community guests came out to show their support for at-risk youth while enjoying a relaxing afternoon at the campus pond. Everyone sat back while Jerry Powell entertained us with summer beach music and Morrison provided an array of finger foods which included “Egg Rolls with Duck Sauce”, “Duck Wings”, “Quackers & Cheese”, “Duck Cookies” and so much more! Residents enjoyed games, raffles and even a duck piñata! Ducks were adopted all afternoon for the “Duck Derby” Race that took place on Saturday at Jungle Rapids. Last year Brightmore raised around 200 ducks and $1,200.00 and this year our goal is 300-500 ducks and we are well on our way! It was a “Quacktastic Day!”
