The Chinese New Year for 2022—the Year of the Tiger. It starts on Tuesday, February 1, and begins the Spring Festival. It ends with the Lantern Festival on February 15. Based on a lunar rather than solar calendar, the Chinese New Year varies from year to year . However, it always occurs between January 21 and February 21.
To celebrate the Chinese New Year the residents at The Commons were treated to a special lunch prepared by Chef Justin. Residents feasted on sesame chicken, beef stir fry, cabbage, and egg rolls and of course a fortune cookie!
