Brightmore is so excited to get our outside walking group back together! You never realize how confined we all get in the winter months until the warm weather and Spring arrives, not to mention we could not do this for the past year due to the pandemic. The walking group started back a few weeks ago, and we meet every Monday afternoon at our campus pond to walk together. It doesn’t matter how fast you walk, as long as you just come out and move a little! Most of the residents come out with the goal of walking 5 times around to get their 1-mile walk in for the day. It was a little chilly, but with the bright sunny skies, who wouldn’t want to be out walking?!
Following the CDC recommendations, face coverings were worn throughout the duration of the walk, and the group social distanced. That did not stop fun conversation and many laughs! Grab a friend, and come walk the pond with us!
