Brightmore offers Arthritis Aquatics twice a week with our wonderful Arthritis Foundation certified instructors. There are lots of laughs and conversation in the pool, but it is not just fun and games! The instructors take the residents through a series of Arthritis Foundation-based exercises to help their bodies overcome some of the pain associated with arthritis, as well as strengthening their bodies and regaining muscle strength. The classes are held in the Brightmore therapy pool. The pool is 91 degrees and the temperature in the pool room is maintained at 85 degrees. The pool is very inviting, and once you get in, you do not want to get out! We have many residents that state “The pool has Healing Powers.” The residents that come weekly always encourage others to come and join in on the Arthritis Classes.
