Brightmore Independent Living’s annual one-mile water walk was quite a “hoppin” one to start off spring! Everyone was given bunny ears to walk around with, and in the center of the pool there was a bunny ear inflatable ring toss game, to add a little hop in everyone’s step. They look forward to having these walks a few times a year, and get excited to see which holiday they will fall on. They walk 77 laps around the pool, which equals one mile. They must touch the four corners that are designated along the sides of the pool to ensure that they are reaching the one mile mark. Rubber ducks are a fun way to keep everyone smiling and motivated, as well as keeping our mark on how many laps we have completed. Mimosas and strawberries served pool side at the half- way break is a great “refresher” to finish up the remaining of the laps at this retirement community.
