“Wine & Wickets”

A game that has been around since 1856, still provides so much fun, entertainment, skill, strategy and some friendly competition with the residents at Brightmore Independent Living. We held two croquet tournaments for the residents to play and for some to come out, enjoy the weather and cheer on those playing! In our first round, the men prevailed, and Ed Colwell held the lead for the whole game! The ladies quickly came in behind him! However, in the second round, the ladies took the lead and made it known they were the ones to beat! Norma Dixon stated, “I haven’t played croquet since I was 14 years old, and this was such a fun day!” They ended the afternoon with a social hour on the patio with wine, lemonade, and cookies. Fun was definitely by all!
