There is so much excitement and festiveness on the day that Brightmore begins our Holiday Season, which begins with our Annual Holiday Pictures in front of the Christmas tree! But why is this so special?
It is a time when residents come down for their annual holiday picture with the staff; however, they have no idea what theme we will be using as the staff dress up in different festive costumes each year! In previous years, Brightmore staff have been reindeer, angels, Christmas trees, toy soldiers; but this year we were “Frosty the Snowmen (and women)!” A line forms and the photos begin!
Afterwards, on this special evening, residents enjoy a holiday meal prepared just for them to say “Thank you” for a wonderful year and a new year to come!
This year the meal was accompanied with Christmas music provided by Tom Noonan on the grand piano. This evening is the mark of a very busy holiday season with music, concerts, theater and trips. It is a time we want to make sure we have to spend just with our residents as we hug each other and say “Merry Christmas” before the excitement begins!
