Saluting Shirley Temple, “Shirley Temple” Style
August 11, 2020
This past Friday, The Commons saluted the ionic child actress, humanitarian, and diplomat, Shirley Temple. She was known for her constantly optimistic, positive and upbeat attitude. Shirley Temple movies helped boost morale during the Great Depression, and she danced her way into the heart of many Americans. Friday, she helped bring cheer to our staff and residents.
The “Shirley Temple” might be the most famous nonalcoholic mocktail out there. It’s the perfect way to take an ordinary lemon-lime soda and make it feel sophisticated. Our traveling Happy Hour Cart made its way through the hallways of The Commons with the Shirley Temple mocktail, music and Shirley Temple trivia for all our residents to enjoy. Cheers!
