Resident of Brightmore Shares His Book Reviews
Brightmore loves being able to feature our very own residents when they have a passion they love to share with others! Today, resident author, Robert Beatty, generously offered his time to give us a Book Review on his four published books; Make for a Better Place, God’s Twin Earth, Retribution & Murder in the Bowling Alley. It all started in 1977, when Robert Beatty decided to retire and his family and friends asked him, “What are you going to do with all your free time?” Roberts answer was, “Travel, visit family and probably write a book!” It actually took him 5 years to pick up a pencil and start this book he promised to everyone and 20 years later, it was published. He never knew it would take that long, but once the first one was finished the other three came much easier. One book is Science Fiction and three of his books are based on Murder Cases and one character continues to be the crooked criminal in each one until he finally dies in his last book Murder in the Bowling Alley. You may ask, “Why did the murder in a bowling alley?” Because Roberts favorite past time is playing on a senior bowling league every Thursday! It seemed like the perfect place to have a murder scene!
