Brightmore looks forward to their annual trip in May to Lewis Strawberry Farms in hopes of a beautiful sunny day, plentiful strawberry picking, and the joy of being outdoors. This year, since we cannot make the strawberry-pickin’ season, we decided to bring the strawberries to our residents…and who doesn’t love fresh strawberry shortcake?

The residents were excited as we dropped off an individually boxed strawberry shortcake, then topped it off with sweet whipped cream! A special “almost healthy” dessert sure brings a lot of smiles and excitement, which is definitely what we need right now. Even through these challenging months, it’s nice to be reminded… “Life is Sweet!”
