Keeping Connected at The Commons at Brightmore

During the week of September the 12^th, The Commons at Brightmore is celebrating National Assisted Living week.   This year’s theme is “Keeping Connected” and on Wednesday September 14^th we spent the morning learning how to connect via the internet.   We used a laptop, a tablet and even a cell phone.  We explored Facebook, YouTube, news sites, family tree sites, and even live beach web cams to check out what was happening at the local pier.   We searched Google Maps and used the street view to find our hometowns and even found a house where a resident was born.  Keeping connected to family and friends is a lot easier thanks to the internet.
