Giving Back Means Even More this Holiday Season!
December 10, 2020
Giving Back Means Even More this Holiday Season! This year our Needlework and Craft Groups from Brightmore Independent Retirement Community were to hold their 9th Annual Holiday Craft Bazaar where 100% of the proceeds go to a local ministry. Due to COVID, we were unable to do this. We still wanted to be able to give back to our community, especially during these very difficult times, so we held a Holiday Donation Drive. With thoughtful consideration, we chose to give to the Gingerbread Tree for the families and children in the New Hanover County Guardian Ad Litem Program.
We know the holidays bring about added expenses for families and youth in need, so we were very happy to help donate to the Gingerbread Tree with a donation of $400.00, which we exchanged for 16-$25.00 Gift Cards to disperse to their families for Christmas and delivered to Linda Bialaszewski, District Administrator. We were very blessed to see that COVID did not take away the “Holiday Spirit” and the tradition in which the Brightmore Community looks forward to each year. Our giving back donation drive was very successful. Merry Christmas!
