Getting Creative at The Commons

Residents on Paraklay Way have been doing weekly art projects. Studies have proven that older adults benefit physically and emotionally when they are engaged and learning something new, and the staff at The Commons strive every day to keep our residents engaged and active. Helping our residents express themselves creatively has become a fun way to spend our afternoons. This week we focused on making our very own abstract work of art. We picked out our favorite colors, placed painters tape in interesting patterns on canvas, and started painting. Everyone was delighted with the outcome of this project!
