Did you know that watermelon is 92 percent water, or that watermelon is one of the only foods to be classified as both a fruit and a vegetable?

Here at The Commons on a hot Wilmington day, nothing beats the heat better than a cold piece of watermelon and some tunes by one of our favorite entertainers, Phil Brushi.

During last week’s Friday social we celebrated our favorite summer treat, watermelon, while Phil treated us to his “You Raise Me Up” program where he sang “Amazing Grace”, “Bridge Over Troubled Water”, and “I Believe” just to name a few. Gathering with our friends to listen to great music is a fabulous way to start the weekend!
