On Tuesday, February 12th, the residents at The Commons had a sip and paint party. Our residents sipped on sparkling juices while they painted pictures for Valentine’s Day. Painting can be very therapeutic; it helps strengthen coordination and sharpens fine motor skills, explores our creativity it, and gives our residents a sense of accomplishment. We used acrylic paints, canvases and our imaginations, all the while sipping on sparkling juices and chatting with friends. Our residents all ended up painting things they love; we had canvases full of flowers, hearts, cats and dogs. Our residents are excited to show our masterpieces to friends and family!
