Celebrating Women’s History Month!

In 1987, Congress declared the entire month of March Women’s History Month. The Commons at Brightmore residents celebrated with fun reminiscing trivia games.

We learned all about the famous ladies who paved the way. They championed for voting rights, civil rights, and fair labor laws. In addition, we discussed lives of some favorite female entertainers.

These residents are part of a generation that pushed boundaries and shattered barriers. They shared some advice with the next generation. After all, these future women will be the next female leaders of the world.
