Celebrating Holiday Traditions !
December 15, 2020
Brightmore of Wilmington is Celebrating Holiday Traditions ! Brightmore has many holiday traditions as the season begins. We start the season with two full days of decorating our beautiful community to the fullest. This year we have a new outside courtyard that is decorated with live greenery, outside lights and a Christmas tree!
One of our first celebrations is the lighting of the Menorah to start the Hanukkah Festival of Lights for our Jewish community.
Our next celebration, the Special Holiday Dinner, is our gift to the residents as staff to say Happy Holidays! Residents dress up for this long awaited event, enjoy a delicious meal provided by Morrisons and enjoy an evening of holiday music. This year, harpist, Julie Rehder, provided the music.
This is also the time we take pictures of the residents in front of our Christmas tree so they can send it to family and friends.
Of course, this year is a little different, as our pictures will have us all wearing masks and social distancing throughout the evening; however, sticking to the guidelines and using well-planned procedures is what allows us to celebrate and make the end of each year the most festive as possible!
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!
