Brightmore of Wilmington Campus Enjoys Thalian’s “Will Rogers Follies”
August 8, 2016
The Brightmore retirement community campus enjoyed Tuesday night at Thalian seeing the play “Will Rogers Follies”. The warmth, wit, charm, and common sense of Will Rogers transformed him from a restless cowboy into the best-loved American of his day. He dominated every medium of his time – stage, screen, radio, newspapers, and personal appearances – and his homespun wisdom went straight to the nation’s heart. This dazzling musical casts Will’s story as a Ziegfeld Follies production and cleverly presents Will’s life by means of Ziegfeld’s showmanship, complete with glittering showgirls, rope tricks, show-stopping production numbers, and a paper moon. Brightmore, The Kempton and The Commons residents all loved the entertaining night at Thalian. Retirement living at its best!
