Brightmore Makes a Difference on Earth Day!
April 24, 2021
Brightmore Makes a Difference on Earth Day 🌎.Every year on April 22nd, Earth Day marks the anniversary of the birth of the modern environmental movement in 1970. Now, Earth Day is marked by more than a billion people every year as a day of action to change human behavior and create a better environment.
There are many different projects people do on this day. Activities are intended to initiate change. Some people plant trees, vegetables and herb gardens. Others recycle, pick up liter. Another environmentally friendly action is to walk or ride your bike instead of driving.
Brightmore not only takes part in Earth Day each year, but are also very enthusiastic that day. The Garden Club has created a beautiful community garden. This year a small group of residents who have “Green Thumbs” got together to do a few projects for the courtyard and patio area. We planted two trees that will sit beside our fire pit area. The club also planted two pots of annuals to provide some color while residents are sitting outside. This is our way of giving back to the environment.
