The Brightmore Campus kicked off the 70th Anniversary of the NC Azalea Festival in style with our very own Azalea Festival Garden Party! It was a beautiful afternoon for our residents complete with all the trimmings of a successful Garden Party…Mint Julep punch, spring cookies, delicious finger sandwiches, fabulous jazz music by the Darryl Murrill Duo, a caricaturist, photo area with beautiful flowers, an Azalea Belle, and to top it off, a horse and carriage that was definitely a hit. For those of our residents who are Wilmington natives, this was a great way to celebrate the Azalea Festival for which our city is famous. It also brought about some great memories they had of being a part of the Wilmington Garden Club, the famous annual Garden Party and walking through all the beautiful gardens in Wilmington!
