Lumina Daze returned for an evening of fun! It was a much anticipated event last evening for Brightmore of Wilmington retirement community residents who attended the 20th Annual “Lumina Daze” at the Blockade Runner at Wrightsville Beach. This event was a benefit for the Wrightsville Beach Museum and featured presentations on themes relating to Wrightsville Beach history. The guests and especially Brightmore residents danced the night away to live music by the Wilmington Big Band, Dixieland All-Stars and The Imitations! Besides all the wonderful music, there was a Silent Auction, Plein Air and Jewelry Artists at-work crafting original pieces. Due to the rain, the outdoor Movie Screen showing short films was cancelled, but there was such a good atmosphere of fun and socializing that it didn’t even matter! Dancing the Jitterbug, Waltz and Shag was enough fun for all of us! We can’t wait to support this event again next year.
