Every Tuesday and Thursday is Functional Fitness class! This class has become a big hit at Brightmore! Residents love the balance, weight training, flexibility and range of motion exercises this class has to offer. A great class taught by our Wellness Coordinator, Madeline Woodard. Crafting is always a big hit at the Kempton and last week’s craft was seashell wreaths for the summer. The residents hand-picked each seashell and loved hanging the wreaths on their door and admiring others!
Yesterday some of the residents of the Commons gathered to create a beautiful frame to hold their pictures from the upcoming “Gorgeous Grandma Day” photo shoot. The courtyard on Paraklay Way is the perfect place to have tomato plants. Earlier in the spring our residents planted 5 tomato plants that are now full of these delicious veggies. We go outside and water them daily and pull the ripe ones off and will be enjoying these all summer long!

The Kempton had a great chicken sandwich fundraiser on Friday. They raised $333 to donate to Alzheimer’s! Residents, families, and employees enjoyed a delicious lunch. The money went to this fabulous cause.
