Ageless Grace is a cutting-edge brain fitness program based on neuroplasticity that activates all 5 functions of the brain – analytical, strategic, kinesthetic learning, memory/recall, creativity and imagination – and simultaneously addresses all 21 physical skills needed for lifelong optimal function. Created by Denise Medved, the program consists of 21 simple exercise Tools designed for all ages and abilities. These exercises, based on everyday movements that are natural and organic, focus on the healthy longevity of the body and mind. The 21 Tools have creative, imaginative names, so they are easy to remember and are simple, so you can do them at home. They are designed to be performed seated in a chair, yet they can be done on a bed, standing near or behind a chair, down on the floor, or standing. Almost anyone can do them, regardless of most physical conditions.
Last week during Ageless Grace, the class the residents participated in 6 Tools, and 6 fun 50’s songs to dance along too. The residents love to come to class to be able to express themselves and work on their brains. This is the one fitness class where Madeline gets to hear singing, laughing, and resident’s really enjoying themselves through exercising! After class, even until the next day, residents were still talking about what they did in class and encouraging others to come to the next one!
