Brightmore had its Annual Christmas Tree Lighting & Special Resident Holiday Dinner this past Friday. It felt like the best one yet as everyone was in such a festive mood, enjoyed socializing together and singing carols with our pianist, Tom Noonan. We began the evening with our traditional Christmas photos in front of the tree. Each year, the staff of Brightmore dress as a theme and surprise the residents. This year we were Toy Soldiers and they loved it! We then had a special holiday message from our director, Georgia Blankenship and then the “official” countdown to light the tree that starts the Christmas season! Afterwards the residents are served a special holiday dinner; this year it was Surf & Turf, and it was amazing! Everyone had a wonderful evening and it sure got everyone in the holiday spirit!
