Activities and Events

Activities at Brightmore take place both on our campus and in the community. Our coach provides transportation to planned outside activities.

With a full-time Social Director and input from our residents, activities are varied and ever-changing.

Suggestions from our residents are always welcome to keep our activities programs fresh and exciting. With regular input from members of our Social Committee, the events and activities we offer continue to reflect varied interests of our Brightmore Family.

As a sponsor of performances by the North Carolina and Wilmington Symphonies, our residents attend the sponsored performances each season. And we regularly attend performances at Wilmington’s historic Thalian Hall. Other activities include, of course, luncheon and dinner outings to our area’s fine restaurants, visits to points of interest in and around the area. With the proximity of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, our wonderful historical downtown riverfront, and pristine beaches within minutes from our campus, Brightmore residents enjoy an abundance of social activities.
